Description

This book was written by Charles Knowles Bolton and reprinted by the Genealogical Publishing Company in 1969.  This hardcover is 8-¾” high by 5-¾” wide, it has xxiii + 223 pages, it is illustrated and has an index.
This book is in VG condition, there is a slight curl to the covers, otherwise it is a nice copy.  The Dust Jacket has tears and some losses.
From the Dust Jacket flap:  “A Record of Coats of Arms Which Have Been in Use Within the Present Bounds of the United States.  This reprint of a work by a well-known genealogist confines it scope to those coats of arms found in general use in the United States; some date back to the earliest colonial days.  Approximately 3500 names are recorded in this volume, with a description of the arms, motto, and source of information.  The names are alphabetically arranged, but there is also an index of the descriptions of the arms, enabling identification of the bearer through his arms.  The book also contains a list of familiar terms used in the text, with illustrations, and a list of mottoes.”
