Spanish Cedar "Cedrela Odorata" in Humidors is one of the most important assets of your Humidor. Spanish Cedar absorbs humidity and releases it as needed. By properly seasoning your Humidor you can regulate your humidity to fit your Humidors environment to fit your personal needs. The aroma of the wood enhances the flavor of your cigars and helps repel cigar beetles. Keep your humidity at a safe level preventing them from hatching. Never use tap water in your humidity devices, the water is full of contaminates so its important to only use distilled water. That is why  I only use distilled water in my Humidity Devices.
My Humidor Grates are made of solid Spanish Cedar, the vertical and horizontal cuts in my grates allows for all around air and humidity circulation. By keeping alert it will keep your Humidor working well and not put your cigars in harms way. All the wood working is done by me in my shop, I do not out source any parts of my work.
There is a free Eldorado Travel Humatube with each order. Just add a few drops of distilled water when the gel recedes to the add line. Replace the cap when not in use.
When I purchase Spanish Cedar it comes rough sawn 8/4 inches and may require to be surfaced planed. As a result, the final measurements might be a fraction smaller than the size you choose due to removing dings and defects.
